Supporting Children with Socialization
July 9, 2025
Socialization is an important aspect of child development as it helps children build relationships and learn more about the world around them (Davis-Pierre, 2024). Socialization promotes children’s sense of compassion and curiosity (Davis-Pierre, 2024). However, socialization can feel anxiety-inducing for children and daunting for the caregivers encouraging children to socialize. PBS has an article sharing tips to support children in approaching social situations with both confidence and kindness (Davis-Pierre, 2024). Insights from the article include tips on promoting active listening, and more (Davis-Pierre, 2024). Check out the PBS article below to learn more about supporting children with socialization.
