May 26, 2026
Parenting and caregiving are rewarding roles filled with joy along with many ups and downs. Caring for children is all encompassing, which can lead to overwhelm, frustration, and even burnout. As parents and caregivers, it can be challenging to stop and think about what you need to be the best version of yourself when you are so focused on ensuring all of your children’s needs are met. However, taking care of yourself allows you to be the best parent or caregiver possible. A beneficial tool in caring for yourself is therapeutic support, however it can be confusing to know when it is time to seek additional support. Healthy Mind, Healthy Baby (2024) has an article that shares helpful information about when it may be beneficial to seek therapeutic support, including when you are struggling with a child’s behavior or your personal mental health.
