Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) – December 2025

November 26, 2025

As daylight hours shorten, many people experience shifts in mood, energy, or behavior that may be linked to Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Symptoms such as persistent sadness, hopelessness, low energy, and irritability typically last for several months and often follow a recurring seasonal pattern (NIMH, 2023). If you are experiencing symptoms of SAD, know that you are not alone. Family Service Saskatoon offers counselling and mental health support to help you manage the challenges that come with seasonal changes.
