Staying Healthy During Cold & Flu Season

As the seasons change, Cold and Flu Season is now upon us. In Canada, peak Flu season lasts from late fall through winter. Everyone is at risk of catching the cold or flu; however, there are individuals who are at higher risk, including people with health conditions, people over the age of 65, children under the age of 5, and people who are pregnant. Symptoms of the flu include fever, headache, fatigue, cough, runny nose, and more. Prevention is a key aspect of Cold and Flu Season; the Canadian Red Cross has some helpful prevention tips to keep us healthy during flu season. Some of the tips include handwashing with soap or hand sanitizer, disinfecting surfaces, keeping your hands away from your eyes, and more!
