As the long winter months approach, have you noticed a shift in your own or a loved one’s daily mood? It is common for our moods and emotions to change during the winter months, but this can start to have a big impact on our daily activities. If you notice any major or significant changes in your mood and routine, it may be possible that you are experiencing seasonal affective disorder (SAD). SAD is considered to be a type of depression characterized by its recurrent seasonal pattern, with symptoms lasting about 4 to 5 months per year. Some of the symptoms can include oversleeping, overeating, social withdrawal, feeling hopeless, and many more.
