Have a problem you need to work through?  Need to talk to someone?  Family Service Saskatoon is offering Walk In Counselling sessions.  There is no cost for these solution focused session(s) – THAT’S RIGHT – IT’S FREE.  The sessions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis during the clinic times.  NOTE:  COVID -19 protocols are in place and some locations are only offering phone or video sessions.  Clinics are offered at the following agencies:

Family Service Saskatoon – Monday, Wednesday – 1:00 to 5:00 pm

West Winds Primary Health Clinic – Mondays – 1:00 to 5:00 pm

Legends Clinic/Pharmacy – WARMAN – Tuesdays – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Trucktastic! 2019 was held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Prairieland Park from 10 am to 4 pm.  Thank you to our sponsors, participants, and volunteers for a fun-filled day!!  Those in attendance were able to explore, inside and out, mega-construction equipment, ambulances, fire engines, monster trucks, and other specialized vehicles.  All proceeds go to Family Service Saskatoon to support programs and services to foster healthy relationships.

Family Service Saskatoon is an accredited, non-profit corporation. Its team provides access to affordable counselling and programs so that:
• families have the ability to solve problems without violence;
• families experiencing separation and divorce can transition through that change in a healthier way;
• people in parenting roles have the skills they need to foster healthy relationships;
• youth-at-risk make healthy life choices; and
• the community has access to culturally sensitive services

The board seeks to achieve diversity of our Directors and welcomes information about the minority or diverse perspective that candidates may bring.  Backgrounds in financial, governance, social work, psychology as well as those who can share perspectives from the educational, emergency services/police, and corporate fields will also be considered.  In our commitment to truth and reconciliation we are particularly seeking candidates to provide Indigenous peoples perspective.

Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings from September through to May, participate in one committee and to attend the Annual General Meeting in June. A board member can expect to spend 3 – 5 hours per month during the months of September through June on board or committee activities.

Nominations to the board of directors are presented by a slate of nominees at the Annual General Meeting in June of each year. If you are interested in serving on the board of Family Service Saskatoon, please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter explaining your interest in Family Service Saskatoon and detailing what perspective or strengths you would bring to the board of directors, to the attention of:

Intimate Partner Violence Drop-in Group for Women Schedule

Intimate Partner Violence Drop-In Group is for women who have or are experiencing domestic violence or violence in their intimate relationships. The group runs weekly on Tuesdays, 6:00pm-7:30pm and Thursdays, 1:15pm-2:45pm. No registration required. Childcare provided.
